Screens will include monitors, and televisions. In either instance, a screen must meet minimum standards requirements which will be provided on this page. All screens will be required to have an HDMI port for connecting to an external device. Also, all screens must support a minimum of 1080p resolution, and higher on larger screens. All screens must also support a power cord. Since it is possible for the screen to require more than 240 watts, there will be a high wattage standard cord which will be recommended to be used.
Monitors
A monitor is a screen that provides a picture from an HDMI source. This is typically a computer, but a game system, or set top box can also be used. As long as there is an HDMI port, that is all that is required. The largest screens I know of is 32″ which is the size of a current small television. This could be acquired for a child’s bedroom, or an office. If the screen needs access to television signals, then the consumer can acquire a smart TV adapter.
Televisions
All televisions must be smart TVs. In addition, it must also support universal remote configuration. It must also have a minimum of 2 HDMDI ports for plugging in items such as game systems, or media center computers. All TVs must also support RJ45 for connectivity since the television standard is terrestrial rather than Over the Air. By connecting to the LAN, the TV will be able to access all of the network channels they have access to. The TV is allowed to support Wifi-5+, but this is not a requirement. All new TVs must also support 2280 NVME drives for storing recorded material. Your television service provider will offer a Smart TV app that would be installed. The consumer will then enter their credentials to get access to their stations.
